[UPDATE 4/26] Problems History with Second Life
Since two weeks we have big problems with Second Life. Every timy Linden Labs told us, the problem is solved, but every problem comes back quickly. Here is a Overview from all problems in the first two weeks from April. Not a part of this list is the big outage on Saturday 12th April, because this problem wasn’t at Linden Labs. Problems with Live Chat Support and Support Portal i haven’t posted here too. But i’m still missing some posts. It seems, that Linden Labs sometimes deletes blog entry with problems. I’ve posted the problems itselfes, not the solutions and when it was fixed. Each Problem is linked to the original Second Life Blog, so you can read each article complete.

Database, asset server issues.
[2:14PM PDT] We are investigating intermittent database and asset server issues. These may affect logins, teleporting, viewing scripts/notecards, and rezzing items in world. We are aware of the problem and working to isolate the source. We will have updates as we have more information. -Chiyo

Inworld Issues and Logins
There is a major issue causing problems with a number of inworld services, including problems with profiles, teleporting, and maps as well as interfering with logins. Ops is investigating and early indications are that we are being affected by a major networking issue. Please monitor this post for updates.

Logins restricted
[1:02 pm Pacific] Logins have temporarily been restricted to staff-only as Operations addresses a slowdown in the asset system. We’ve also broadcast a request in world for residents who are currently logged in to refrain from manipulating or transferring assets. We’ll have more info ASAP.

Some Second Life Regions Offline
As a result of a recent Rolling Restart, many regions in Second Life are currently down. Our Server Team is working quickly to get them back online as soon as possible. More Updates here as information is received. Thank you for your continued patience.

Transaction history not showing on the website
Residents will find that transaction histories are not showing up when running a query on our website. This is due to an error on one of our slave databases, which is now in the process of being resolved. It’s hoped that this will be back in about 20 to 30 minutes.

In World Services Unavailable
As we have blogged in prior posts, during peak hours we sometimes see a delay in services. We have been working to update our database clusters and are still working to add servers. At the moment some in world services are unavailable including L$ Transactions. Please refrain from conducting transactions at this time until we give an all clear.

Temporary issues within Second Life
We’ve experienced a hiccup in our database that has resulted in Search, Transaction Histories and other features within Second Life not working.
We are working to restore functionality to these features as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
